We are holding the sale at ‘Little Belmore’ our bull raising block located only 18 kilometres north of Naracoorte at 1020 Boddingtons-West Road, Wild Dog Valley SA. Bulls are available for inspection from 10am Wednesday 12 March and from 8.30am Thursday 13 March 2024.
Our bull selection criteria are stringent, the bulls are reassessed numerous times to get to sale day. They have been DNA tested for poll and myostatin genes and GGP-100K panel for performance testing, our herd is JBAS 8. Bulls have been semen-tested and vet checked prior to sale by Dr Tony Tully (BVS), pestivirus tested and vaccinated per Zoetis Star Program, with 7in1, Pestiguard and Vibriovax.
Three new homozygous polled sires are represented in this sale draft. Polldale Rawhide R119 is a solid red sire who topped the inaugural Polldale bull sale in 2021. The Grove Blotched Q0595 is a red grandson of golden oldie Mandalong Blotch. Soft roan sire The Grove Infinity R0765 rounds out the new sires, he has a pedigree stacked with easy-doing high fat cover cattle.
Second season sires include Belmore Cowboy Q303 an impressive red son of Crooked Post Stockman 4Z, we’ve used over heifers for 3 seasons and who’s just returned home from a short lease stint with Stumpy and Amanda Carter’s Blackjack stud. Our two sons of Yamburgan Gigabytes M1052, Yamburgan Tiger Moth Q172 and Yamburgan Tiger Moth Q196 have an exciting line of bulls in the catalogue.
