"Eionmoor Ultra" has left fantastc thick calves this season, his first progeny shown won the under 12 month class at this years Adelaide Royal.

"Trevino" Herd

We are very pleased to have been given the opportunity to obtain the famous WA Trevino Stud from John and Pat Panizza at the end of 2001. The addition of over 100 top quality cows, many of good pure Australian blood lines, has been very successful and we are most impressed with the way they have acclimatized and settled in. Their calving ease and superb calves are a wonderful addition to Eastern Australia.

Last year’s selection of bulls went to many of our regular clients in the pastoral country and they have all commented on their good rich colour and easy doing ability.

This year we have an outstanding line of bulls, some to go to Naracoorte and Dubbo sales. The top of the mated heifers will be offered in our Female Sale on March 5th in
a buyers choice format so the purchaser gets the pick of the “top of the drop”.

Adelaide Show

This year the Shorthorns were Feature Breed, with a number of interstate studs making the trip there was a fantastic line up of quality Shorthorn cattle.

We were delighted to win both of the youngest heifer and bull classes. "B. Hoodoo X257" is the first progeny of Eionmoor Ultra shown, the heifer "B. Robin X238", is another superb "Payoffs King" daughter.

"B. Galaxy W7" was Reserve Senoir Champion Bull, this lovely deep bodied, well muscled bull is now out working in the stud.

Belmore Fuel Injected V12, Senior Champion Bull, Adelaide 2003. Judge Matt Spry’s comments were “He has a lot of power, good neck extension and is very good on his feet and legs”. Semen & British marketing rights in V12 have been purchased by Major John Gibb and Mr Alistair Gibb of Glenisla Stud, Scotland. Kirsty visited the Gibbs' in September and saw the first drop of calves, which they are absolutely thrilled with. Fuel Injected V12 is one of our major mating sire’s at Belmore and his calves for 2003 are outstanding.

Testimonials

Hillcrest Pastoral Company

Breeding over 2000 calves annually for the vealer store market requires cows with high fertility, strong maternal traits, sound structure and conformation, and quiet reliable temperament. we favor Shorthorn, Hereford and their crosses to breed these calves as they perform to our requirements in an environment where cold winters with feed shortages are normal.

After years of determination we found that the Withers Belmore Stud provides the best Shorthorn bulls for our needs and so have purchased an average of three bulls annually for the past nine years. We mate 400 cows to Belmore bulls each year and keep the heifer progeney as future breeders in the herd with the steers being sold at our Annual Production Sale.

On discussion with Sally and Andy their advice and recommendations are made to us regarding the best bulls for our requirement. We have found the bulls purchased always reflect accurately the Withers advice, whether for calving down heifers, mature cows for production of future breeders, or focusing on steers for back grounding and feedlots. We have enjoyed the honest and forthright discussions relating to purchasing the Belmore bulls and look forward to continuing to support the Withers Belmore Shorthorns.

Just a quick note to tell you folks how impressed I am with your cattle. I used a son of Ultrabright ( which I bred myself with semen from Universal Genetics) He has left a remarkable group of calves and I have kept all his heifers. The thickness and performance of these cattle are unbelievable.
